Muniba Mazari, iron lady of Pakistan.
Many of you
would be thinking who she might be, for your clarification, she is Muniba
Mazari, a motivational speaker, an artist, runs modelling campaign, fights for
women, children and gender equality rights which is a must. An iron lady from Pakistan.
Her past is one of the worst tragedy that could happen to anyone. She was 18
when her father asked her to get married. She belonged to a conservative family
where the children would not say ‘no’ to their parents. Her answer was “if that
makes you happy, I am okay with it”. Of course, her it was not a happy
marriage. She led her life somehow and within two years she met with an
accident. Somehow her husband fell asleep while driving and the car fell in a
ditch. Her husband managed to get off from the car, but she was in the car for
hours till the rescue came and sustained a lot of injuries, her right arm was
fractured, the wrist was fractured, shoulder bone, collarbone and her rib cage
got fractured. The saddest part was, she got her spine injured and made her
could not stand forever. She also proclaimed that those two and a half months
in the hospital were dreadful and she tried to commit suicide a few times.
The
doctors proclaimed that due to her spinal injury, she will not be able to give
birth to a child anymore. That day she was so devastated. After being discharged,
she gave her name in a few organizations and she believed that by giving birth
is not the only way to become a mother, there are hundreds and thousands of
kids waiting to be just adopted.
After
two years, she received a call from a small town from Pakistan and they said
there is baby boy, would you like to adopt. That moment she said that she felt
the labour pain and without hesitating she said yes. When she was there to take
the baby, the man who was holding the baby boy looked her head to toe. She told
him “don’t judge me just because I am on a wheelchair’. He replied, “he is so lucky
to get you as his mother and no one can be a better mother than a person like
you”. The baby boy was just 2 days when she adopted him and now he is 6 years
old. S
She
also proclaimed in an interview that the most painful thing ended up being in a
wheelchair is because they think that they will not be accepted by the other
people because they and the world of” perfect” people are imperfects. It is
okay to be scared, it is okay to cry but giving up should never be an option.
People says that failure should not be an option. Failure should be an option,
because when you fail, you get up, you fail again, and you get up again and
that keeps you going. Meeting her once would be my life time goal.
“What an inspiring lady she is,
it would be gods grace to be an ardent fan of hers.”
